Who we are
What We Do
At Community Activations Network (CAN), we empower communities through strategic collaboration, identification of potential funding, building bridges to unique training access, by build the ecosystem that supports them.
Our work includes:
Designing innovative training solutions in collaboration with colleges, trade programs, and employers—tailored to meet evolving workforce needs and emerging technologies
Partnering with training providers—not replacing them—to help launch new curriculum pathways and prepare students for in-demand careers
Creating and funding persistence programs that support students in overcoming barriers like transportation, childcare, eldercare, utilities, or social needs that could cause them to drop out or miss work
Establishing tuition grants and scholarship opportunities for students pursuing workforce training, college, or apprenticeships
Representing a broad network of stakeholders—from private and public colleges to workforce boards, municipal leaders, economic developers, and industry partners attracting new businesses to their regions
Funding future-ready training—a portion of all funds raised goes directly into student success and workforce readiness funds across these areas
Developing Think Tank strategies for site selection, talent pipeline creation, sector planning, and education-to-employment alignment
Championing equity in access—our support is open to all students and schools in good standing, not just public university systems
· Campus-based business partnerships supporting student-run initiatives
· Community-led apprenticeship initiatives aligned with real employer needs
